Tim Halperin made the top 24 on American Idol in Season 10.
And he might have missed out on Idol’s big stage, but he’s back with a new video.
The video for “The Last Song” was released today, complete with some neat special effects, like Tim climbing into his piano.
And he’s determined to get 1 million views of the video on YouTube.
“Why?” he asks on his website. “Because a million views makes a statement. It says, ‘American Idol or not, I’m here to stay.” It says, “The $8,000 donated by my Kickstarter supporters was money well spent.”
I must admit, after hearing his pre-Idol music, I was a little surprised Tim didn’t do better on Idol.
And beyond surprised that Robbie Rosen and Jovany Baretto got to compete for wild card spots on the semifinals results show while this 23-year-old from Omaha, Neb., was passed over.
Fear not, Tim Halperin fans. According to his YouTube channel, the graduate of Texas Christian University is planning on releasing a full-length CD this fall.
