When AMA nominees were announced, 10 names were on the artist of the year list.

After four weeks of fan voting, that list has been whittled to Nicki, Ariana Grande, Luke Bryan, One Direction and Taylor Swift.

Eliminated from the running were Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor and The Weeknd. Voting continues here through Nov. 19.

The AMAs air 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, on ABC, with American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez as host and former Idol Carrie Underwood on the list of those expected to perform.

Former Idol judge Nicki also has nominations for hip-hop album of the year (“The Pinkprint”) and favorite hip-hop/rap artist alongside Drake and Fetty Wap.

Among the other nominees are Carrie as favorite female country artist; she’s up against Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini. Adam Levine’s Maroon 5 is nominated for favorite pop/rock duo or group alongside One Direction and Walk the Moon.

Voting is closed in all categories except artist of the year and new artist of the year.
