I’ve been eager to hear new music from Season 13 Voice standout Noah Mac, expecting something unique.

Noah delivered Friday, and didn’t disappoint.

He released “The Soliloquy,” his first post-Voice single, and an accompanying music video that you can check out below.

“It may be a little different than what you have seen from me, but this is me,” Noah wrote on Instagram. “The entire song was written, produced and recorded by me in the shed in my backyard. I wanted to put out something genuine.”

The video, also quite unique, wasn’t quite as DIY. It was filmed by Chris Thach and directed by Ethan Zalunardo.

Noah was 17 when he auditioned for The Voice and made it all the way to the Top 6.

During his exit interview with the media, Noah said he’d already started working on his post-show album.

In mid-January, he provided an update: “Getting close with the album. I’ve decided to release one song at a time so stay tuned for updates and a possible music video…

“It’s been so nice being able to come back to the Bay Area and work on my music the way I want to again while seeing all the amazing art you create,” Noah wrote in another Instagram post. “I can’t explain how in love I am with my life right now.

Noah had released a pre-show EP called “Light” in April 2017.

To keep up with Noah, you can follow him through his website or Facebook page. On Twitter, he’s @noah_mac.
