New post-Voice releases include country singles from Patrick Thomas, Todd Tilghman and Tanner Gomes.
Here’s a bit about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
Patrick Thomas from Season 1 has released a lovely ballad called “Tequila” that somehow went unreleased for 10 years. Says Patrick, “Nearly 10 years after writing what may be my favorite song — may because there’s no way I could truly pick my favorite — this piano man’s ballad finally gets its chance at a bigger audience.” Give is a listen an I think you’ll agree with me that it deserves one. Sean Neff handled production. “Tequila is Patrick’s first release of 2022.
Todd Tilghman, the Season 18 champ, recently released “Home Wasn’t Built in a Day.” It’s a song he co-wrote with Lance Carpenter and Kelli Johnson. “It’s kind of the story of our family, my wife and me and our family,” Todd told Everything Nash. That family, you might remember, includes eight children. The former pastor and now full-time musician got to perform the single at his Grand Ole Opry debut back on Sept. 10 at an event hosted by his Voice coach, Blake Shelton. “Altogether unbelievable. Never stop believing in miracles,” Todd wrote on social media.
Tanner Gomes from Season 19 has a new song out called “Arizona Anthem.” It’s a rowdy, fell-good tune. “If you love Arizona and you love country music, you’re gonna love this song I wrote.” he says. And Tanner’s already promoting his next single, called “Pretty Things.” He calls it one of the favorite songs he’s written and describes it as a song about what makes someone pretty. There’s no release date for that one yet.
