Paul McDonald rises from the dead in his new music video

0
McDonald has released a video for “Slow Rising,” the title track from an excellent EP he released last month.

In the video, Paul has to deal with a double-crossing girlfriend.

But he gets his revenge in the end. You can watch how it all plays out at right.

The “Slow Rising” EP features six songs, including fully produced versions of four songs from last year’s “You and I” EP.

Those EPs mark Paul’s first releases since his 2014 split with wife, actress and former musical collaborator Nikki Reed.

So it’s not surprising themes of reconciling oneself with love lost run through some of the songs, including two of the best tracks — “Modern Hearts” and “Never Get Over You.”

Another track you should definitely check out is “Renegades.” The “Slow Rising” EP version of the song is a toe-tapping delight.

Paul finished eighth on Season 10 of American Idol. Pre-show, he had released music with the Grand Magnolias and the Hightide Blues.

You can follow Paul through his Facebook page and website. On Twitter, he’s @thePaulMcDonald.
