American Idol Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips will be heading out on tour with Matchbox 20 in January to support his debut album.
Phillip announced 24 tour dates as an opener for Matchbox 20 on Friday in a tour that runs through late February.
And that tour includes stops in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
On Feb. 25, Phillip and Matchbox 20 will perfom at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric Theatre in Baltimore. Tickets are $85 and are on sale at Ticketmaster.
Two nights later, they’ll be at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa. Tickets range from $74 to $143 and are also available at Ticketmaster.
Speaking of Phillips’ debut album, “The World from the Far Side of the Moon” slips from number five to number nine on the Billboard 200 this week.
But that still means three weeks in the top 10 during one of the most competitive times of the year; the album debuted at number four.
And “Home” reached a new peak of number seven on the Hot 100 this week.
