Joshua Davis is planning to release his first album since 2013 in October.

We haven’t heard a whole lot from Joshua Davis since his third-place finish on Season 8 of The Voice.

That’s about to change. His new album, “Way Back Home,” is now available for pre-order with a release date of Oct. 13.

Digital pre-orders are available from iTunes and Amazon. Head to earthworkmusic.com, and you can pre-order physical CDs and vinyl copies of the 11-track album. All sorts of bundles are also available.

Joshua has helped finance the album with a Kickstarter campaign that exceeded expections, raising more than $37,500 compared to an initial goal of $30,000.

The album will include a pair of great songs Joshua initially released as singles more than a year ago. “Always Going to Be Here” and “Let Me In” are no longer available as singles, but anyone pre-ordering the album gets “Let Me In” as an instant download.

Joshua’s also planning a “Way Back Home” tour that includes an Oct. 7 stop at Songbyrd in Washington, D.C., and an Oct. 13 show at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Check Joshua’s website for a complete list of tour dates.

Joshua was 37 in the spring of 2015 when he his Season 8 Voice audition aired. He landed a spot on Team Blake Shelton, was eventually stolen by Adam Levine and wound up singing an original he wrote — “Working Man’s Hymn” — in the finals when he faced off against eventual winner Sawyer Fredericks, Meghan Linsey and Koryn Hawthorne.

The new album will be his first since 2013’s “A Miracle of Birds.”

Here’s “Let Me In.”
