The awards show will take place Friday, June 22, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. It will air 8 to 10 p.m. June 23 on the Disney Channel.
Clarkson will perform a medley of her hits during the show, Disney said.
As for the Icon Award, it recognizes “a distinguished artist whose career transcends popular culture and whose music is beloved by generations of Radio Disney fans,” according to a press release announcing the honor.
Other performers already announced for the show include new American Idol winner Maddie Poppe and Carrie Underwood.
Also performing will be Ludacris, Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Marshmello and Echosmith.
