Cam Anthony, Kenzie Wheeler, Rachel Mac, Victor Solomon and Jordan Matthew Young square off for The Voice Season 20 title Monday night.

Each will take the stage twice, singing an up-tempo cover and a ballad as a dedication.

That will set the stage for a two-hour season finale beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Here are my rankings for the Top 5. And, I’ve gotta say, I’m a bit hesitant to do this.

Remember, we have only heard these singers perform five times. One of those was a duet. The first three performances were spaced over two months.

That’s no way to stage a legitimate singing competition. And I firmly believe The Voice should close up shop permanently — not just skip a season next spring — if it can’t commit to a playoff episode followed by at least five live episodes.

Or in other words, I could completely change my mind on who should win based on what happens Monday night.

1. Cam Anthony: Cam’s been solid all season. But he was simply brilliant when he performed “It’s Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” Monday night. It was the stronger performance on a night filled with strong performances. Remember, when he turned four chairs in the blinds, Blake Shelton promised to keep a lane clear for Cam should he join Team Blake. That strategy had pair off for both of them.

2. Kenzie Wheeler: From the moment Kenzie opened his mouth Monday, you knew he was going to deliver a crowd-pleasing performance with the country classic “He Stopped Loving Her Today.” It’s not difficult to envision him turning that rich country tone into post-show success. If he turns in two performances like that in the finale, he could become the third country artist to win the show for Team Kelly Clarkson.

3. Rachel Mac: Do not count out Rachel Mac. Here’s why: 1. She’s incredibly endearing and has been since telling us about her school project on Blake Shelton. 2. She’s the only lady left. 3. She’s a one-chair turn, making her quite the underdog story. 4. She’s the youngest contestant on a show where singers 16 or younger have won three of the past six seasons. 5. The Voice probably wouldn’t mind seeing Nick Jonas coach a winner for the first time. Most importantly, Rachel’s been very, very impressive in the live shows.

4. Victor Solomon: He relished getting the chance to sing a gospel song Monday night. It’ll be interesting to see the strategy he and John Legend take on Monday. More Christian music would certainly set Victor apart from the rest of the finalists. But he also happens to show the most stage presence of the remaining artists. You had to love the way he played along with the 1970s them when it came time for Monday’s group numbers.

5. Jordan Matthew Young: It’s unlikely Jordan will win after finishing behind Cam Anthony in the Team Blake voting two straight weeks. But he could leapfrog a couple of singers ahead of him in these rankings with strong performances Monday. Some were surprised he made he finals. But Jordan’s save-me performance of “Drift Away” was the Tuesday’s best. Not to mention the type of song choice likely to strike a chord with Voice fans.
