Season 2 auditions, The X Factor

Rave reviews for Britney from X Factor fans

0

Britney Spears was cast as a potentially tough judge on The X Factor Season 2 premiere Wednesday night.

Now, it doesn’t appear she’s going to challenge Simon Cowell for the classic putdown crown.

But she did have the gumption to tell several singers they were flat-out bad.

And she did turn down one poor guy, Don Philip, who once did a duet with her.

Of course, she also voted to send Quatrele Da’an Smith to boot camp (X Factor’s version of Hollywood Week). And since he’s a male cake decorator who showed up in a wedding dress and pretty much butchered Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” … well, that stumble cost Britney some judge credibility points in my book.

In truth, we’ll have to wait until the live shows to get a real feel for how good and what type of judge pop princess Britney is going to be.

But, in the meantime, X Factor fans were clearly impressed by what they saw and heard.

I just sorted through about 100 tweets, and couldn’t find a bad word about Ms. Spears.

Check out some of the comments below.
