The Voice voters sent Chloe Kohanski, Addison Agen and Brooke Simpson sailing into the finals Tuesday night.

They sent Keisha Renee and Davon Fleming packing.

That left Red Marlow, Adam Cunningham and Noah Mac to compete for the instant save and the final spot in the Season 13 finale next week.

The save went to Red, apparently by the narrowest of margins.

When The Voice took down the voting graphic, he had 37 percent of the Twitter votes cast compared to 36 percent for Noah Mac and 27 percent for Adam Cunningham.

One of Red’s fans tweeted: “That was the most nerve wrecking hour of tv I’ve had in a while!!!!”

Red’s response: “How do u think I felt?! LOL!!”

Red had finished in the Top 5 on iTunes Tuesday, right behind Chloe and Addison and just in front of Brooke and Noah.

His presence in the finals means Blake Shelton has placed a country or country/soul singer in the final four on every Voice since Season 9.

A Team Blake coached singer has won the show five times, and four of those victories have come with country singers — Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Craig Wayne Boyd and Sundance Head.

Here are Tuesday’s save songs:

Red Marlow (Team Blake Shelton)
The song: “Dixieland Delight” by Alabama
My take: Look, Red’s been vocally impressive and remarkably consistent throughout the competition. But when you think save songs, you think vocal fireworks or intense emotions. This song choice yielded neither. It was a fun, mid-tempo song well sang, and the hand clapping at the 1:45 mark with a nice changeup, but it didn’t leave me with the impression Red was fighting for his life on The Voice. Grade: B —

Adam Cunningham (Team Adam Levine)
The song: “Here’s a Quarter” by Travis Tritt
My take: Why is it that Adam seems to deliver his best, most impassioned vocals when his back’s against the wall and he’s fighting for an instant save. He did it again tonight. Rather than over-singing from the word go like in Tuesday’s duet, Adam picked his spots wisely in the first half of the song, then dialed up more energy as the song drew to a close. Now that sounded more like a guy singing for a save. Grade: B+

Noah Mac (Team Jennifer Hudson)
The song: “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles
My take: Noah brought tons of passion to the stage during his solo performance Monday night and he did it again on this song. Unfortunately, his vocal got swallowed by the background music for three or four lines early in the performance and he ran into some pitch problems later on. Still, wouldn’t it be nice to have a male alternative rocker in the finals for a change? The Voice raves over Addison’s artistry. I’m just as impressed with Noah. Grade: B

So, check that out. I awarded the best save-me grade to Adam.

But when it came time to cast save votes, I had to sent out one tweet in support of Red and one in support of Noah because, for the entirety of the competition, they’ve proven more consistent and, hence, more worthy of a spot in the finals.
