Rob Bolin is striking while the proverbial iron is hot.

You remember Rob.

He’s the guy who kept performing with former girlfriend and duet partner Chelsee Oaks until being eliminated after the group performance on American Idol.

Well, folk singer Rob has a new single out on iTunes, the appropriately titled “This is What Heartache Sounds Like.”

Rob’s also been talking about releasing an EP on Facebook. There’s no word yet on when more music might be available.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Or maybe not surprised so much as pleased.

After all, I thought Rob sounded awfully good on Idol.
