Sundance Head has released his first single since winning Season 11 of The Voice.

Sundance Head, Season 11 winner of The Voice, rather quietly released a debut single Friday.

The song is called “How I Want to Be” and it might sound a bit familiar to longtime fans of the singer from Texas.

Sundance originally released the song as part of a EP back in 2010.

The new version, however, is quite different and features a female vocalist accompanying Sundance at several points during the song.

On Facebook, Sundance asked fans to guess the identity of that vocalist. He hasn’t spilled yet, but told Nashfm931.com that she’s a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Sundance has enjoyed plenty of career highlights since being named the winner of Season 11.

He’s toured with Blake Shelton. And last month he got to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville alongside his dad, Roy Head.

He’ll return to the Grand Ole Opry for another show on July 11. Two nights later, he’ll perform at the Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill in Pittsburgh.

You can check out all of Sundance’s upcoming tour dates on his website. As for those events marked private — they’re special visits to Air Force bases around the country.

Now, here’s the new single, which was 128 on the iTunes country singles chart 24 hours after its release.
