Wondering what country gal Skylar Laine has been up to since finishing fifth on Season 11 of American Idol?

Well, she’s still in search of a recording contract.

But she just unveiled a snazzy new website here.

And the most exciting part is that you can head to the music section and listen to four new Skylar Laine tunes.

The Miranda Lambert influence is clear on “Self Destructive.” Two of the others — “Settle Down” and “Nothin’ Grows in the Shade” — are clearly reflections on Skylar’s move from Brandon, Mississippi, to Nashville.

Yep, Skylar now calls Nashville home. In her website bio, she writes that she moved there after spending some post-Idol time with her family.

“It’s such a beautiful place here, and I’m ready to put my name into country music,” Skylar writes on her site. “It doesn’t matter how big or small the name is, I just want to write the music I love and for some people to listen.”

She adds that she’ll be releasing music to iTunes soon, which should thrill her Skoutlaw fan base.
