Season 14 The Voice standout Pryor Baird has released his first single since the show.

It’s a country song called “The Kind You Write Songs About.”

And speaking of writing, the song was co-written by Pryor’s producer Trent Willmon.

It also features backing vocals from Dustin Miller and Kara Britz.

According to a video about the release on Pryor’s Facebook page, Britz does background vocal work for The Voice and with Blake Shelton’s band.

Pryor said he recorded the song back in September, and it’s likely won’t be the last new music we get from him this year.

At the time, he said he was heading into a studio in Nashville to work on a full EP.

Pryor was 35 when he auditioned for The Voice and landed a spot on Team Blake Shelton.

He made it all the way to the Top 6, scoring three Top 10 hits on iTunes along the way, including a cover of Bob Seger’s “Night Moves” that made it all the way to number four.

Here’s “The Kind You Write Songs About.”
