The EP features his current hit, “There’s a Girl,” his Idol coronation single, “Falling,” and three songs he performed on American Idol.
Those include “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Drink You Away” and “Chandelier.”
Only “Chandelier” wasn’t previously available. And while Trent’s cover of the Sia hit was magical, it’s hard to imagine too many people downloading the entire EP rather than just that song.
The version of “Falling” on the EP is a remix, with more of a country twist. That song hit number 14 on iTunes for Trent the day after he performed it on Idol.
“There’s a Girl,” meanwhile, has been on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart for 15 weeks, peaking at number 36 so far. This week, it’s number 38.
Personally, I’m more interested in Trent’s debut album, set for release sometime next year, especially since he debuted a couple of new songs back in September at the York Fair.
