Season 6 Voice rocker Megan Ruger planning debut album

Megan Ruger from Season 6 of The VoiceSeason 6 Voice standout Megan Ruger wants to set herself on fire and needs your help.

Oh, she wants to make a debut album, too.

Megan is in the final week of an indiegogo campaign to raise $30,000 to help finance an album, a music video and a North American tour.

If you head here, you can learn more about that campaign. Watch the video, and you’ll even hear snippets of four songs she plans to include on the album.

Megan was 26 when the auditioned for The Voice and landed a spot on Team Blake with Pink’s “Just Like a Pill.”

She made it to the second battle round before losing a match with eventual Top 8 finisher Audra McLaughlin.

Megan resides in Nashville, but don’t jump to the wrong conclusion because of that. She’s more rock than country and classifies her music as pop/rock “with a hint of country.”

Of course, Megan has all sorts of special offers for donors to her indiegogo campaign.

As for setting herself on fire, she’s being quite literal. As she explains in her indiegogo video, she plans to set herself on fire as part of a music video she hopes to make.

To keep up with Megan, you can also check out her website and Facebook page. On Twitter, she’s simply @meganruger.

Now, here’s a sample of Megan’s new music.
