Siobhan Magnus album delayed, but check out ‘Black Doll’

Folks looking forward to a first album from Season 9 Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus later this week are in for a bit of a disappointment.

The album was supposed to be released in conjunction with a Sunday, Oct. 30, Halloween show Siobhan is performing at the Wilber Theatre in Boston, Mass.

But according to a notice posted late last week on Siobhan’s website, the release date has been pushed back and “the production and management team are now in negotiations with other interested parties to release on a much larger scale than the initial independent release.”

Siobhan will be performing material from the upcoming album at the show with her Nashville-based backup band. She’s already be performing her favorite Halloween tunes. And there will be a Halloween costume contest thrown in for good measure.

What’s more, ticket prices are being reduced since the album won’t be available for fans that night.

Here’s a link to a Boston Herald story that talks about the upcoming album, named “Moon Baby.”  Make sure to check out the bit near the end about costume selection for her Halloween show — classic Siobhan.

Meanwhile, Siobhan has released two singles since Idol — “Black Doll,” which was released to iTunes on Oct. 1, and “Beatrice Dream,” which came out earlier this year.

You can check out the video to the former above. If you miss the Siobhan scream, just check out the latter below.

Please correct a mistake you made. Not a Boston Globe article you linked to. It is a Boston Herald article.
