Months ago, a 37-year-old road worker from Raymore, Missouri, stepped onto an X Factor audition stage wearing a cowboy hat and pronounced that he sings rap.
He was joking of course.
And Thursday night, Tate Stevens took home the Season 2 X Factor crown, complete with a $5 million prize and a recording contract.
The country singer bested Carly Rose Sonenclar for the title. Fifth Harmony had been eliminated earlier in the evening.
