Katharine McPhee is starring in NBC’s “Smash.” Elliott Yamin just released his third album.
Now the other member of Season 5’s final three — Taylor Hicks — is heading to Vegas.
Taylor mentioned the gig last Thursday on the American Idol results show, and the official press release followed on Friday.
The Season 5 champ will headline at Bally’s Las Vegas for eight weeks beginning June 26.
Taylor will perform shows at Bally’s every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

“It’s not every day that a property on the Las Vegas Strip can announce that an ‘American Idol’ winner will be a headlining act,” said David Hoenemeyer, president of Bally’s Las Vegas. “Taylor won the hearts of fans across America when he competed on ‘American Idol,’ and I am sure that he will have just as many fans among our property’s guests.”
For Taylor, it’s a return to where it all began.
After all, he auditioned for Idol in Vegas.

Think this will be fun, Taylor puts on a great live show, has a great band.
And does he get better looking every day? I think so. 🙂
Not only is he the most talented winner in 10 seasons of Idol, he is by far the most handsome.
Season 5 had so many talented people and it’s great to hear so many are doing well. Heading to Vegas to see Taylor Hicks this summer, it should be a blast!
