The live playoffs are set for Monday night on The Voice, and get ready for a night filled with great music.

That’s because every member of the Top 24 will perform. And with 24 performances to squeeze into a two-hour show, there won’t be much time for idle chatter.

If you’re new to the show, here’s how it works. Fan voting will determine two of the singers who advance on each team. That’s right: You get to vote for the first time in Season 15. Those results will be announced Tuesday.

Then each coach will be able to save a third member of his or her team to advance to the Top 13.

Why a Top 13?

Because Tuesday’s show will mark performances from the Top 2 finishers on the Comeback Stage. They’ll sing for fans support during the first Twitter save of Season 15.

Kennedy Holmes and Sandy Redd have to make the finals, and not just because they turned four chairs in the blind auditions.

I’ve been critical of the show’s decision to lower the age limit to 13. Kennedy is proving me wrong. Not only does she have the vocal ability to go up against the best Season 15 has to offer, she’s incredibly poised for her age.

Through three rounds, Sandy has been as good as anyone, better than most and remains the most unheralded performer on the show. She needed a steal to survive the battles and a save to survive the knockouts, which still boggles my mind.

My hunch is that Patrique Fortson and Franc West have the inside track on the third Team Jennifer Top 13 berth. Oh, and Simon Cowell, you were all wrong about Patrique’s sense of fashion.
