It’s an upbeat pop song with a reggae twist, and a vocal assist from Wayne Marshall.
“Somebody Loves You,” Tessanne writes on Facebook, reciting the song’s title. “I just thought you should know.
“It’s been a hot minute,” she adds, “but I too had to take a moment to remember this message for myself first.”
Tessanne, now 32, had already enjoyed musical success in her native Jamaica before she auditioned for Season 5 of The Voice, which aired in the fall of 2013.
She turned four chairs with her blind audition, joined Team Adam Levine, and quickly became a favorite in the competition.
Since the show, she had released an album called “Count On My Love” with Republic Records and a pair of singles, “Fire” (2015) and “Love Suicide” (2016).
Here’s “Somebody Loves You.”
