The comeback twist is coming back to The Voice next week

The Voice is bringing back its comeback twist for Season 10.

And the show has posted an adorable little video, complete with the Top 20 providing hints on who the comeback artists will be.

The show’s live playoffs begin Monday night at 8 p.m. and continue Tuesday, with a special results show set for Wednesday.

In this round, the remaining five singers on each team perform for a spot in the finals.

The coach’s comeback allows each coach to select one previously eliminated contestant to compete as well.

Last year, that artist had to have performed for the coach’s team at some point during the season. If I’m understanding the intro to the video, that restriction has been lifted for Season 9. The coach can bring back any eliminated singer.

In Season 9, the comeback artists were Ellie Lawrence (Team Gwen), Nadjah Nicole (Team Blake), Celeste Betton (Team Pharrell) and Chance Pena (Team Adam). For the record, none made it to the finals.

Oh, and for the record, I’d still love an explanation as to why Andi & Alex weren’t brought back after: 1) turning four chairs in the blind audition; 2) beating everyone — Jordan Smith included — on iTunes in the first two rounds.

What, would they have presented too much competition for the Chosen One?

If I could pick four artists eliminated in the knockout round to bring back, the group would include Brittany Kennell, Nick Hagelin, Angie Keilhauer and Maya Smith.

But those picks are influenced heavily by the pre-show music I’ve listened to.

Anyway, check back Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday when I’ll be live blogging and grading each performance.
