In spite of all its histrionics, could The Four do in one season what The Voice hasn’t done in 13 — launch a bonafide superstar.

Well, Sony’s Columbia Records is betting a lot of money on it, according to TMZ.

This much is certain: Zhavia, the dread-locked teen who made a splash on The Four with her performances of “Location” (by DJ Khalid) and “Unforgettable” (by French Montana) has signed with Columbia. She posted photos on Facebook and Instagram last week to prove it.

TMZ says it’s gotten hands on the details of that contract and that the lable is paying the 17-year-old a $700,000 advance for her debut album, plus 18 percent royalties.

If it’s a hit, Zhavia gets $750,000 for album number two and her advance jumps another $100,000 for albums number three and four.

And this is for a singer who didn’t even win The Four. In fact, she wasn’t in the final two.

But she made a big impression on the show’s judges, especially Meghan Trainor, with her star potential. And she gained an impressive army of supports.

As of Sunday, her social media numbers included 175,00 followers on Twitter, 850,000 fans on Facebook and a staggering 2.7 million followers on Instagram.

Not a bad start when she heads into the studio.
