Coaching the Comeback Stage artists — and making decisions on who will advance — will fall to pop artist Bebe Rexha.
We’ve seen her before on The Voice as a guest artist, and even country fans will be familiar with her thanks to her “Meant to Be” collaboration with Florida Georgia Line.
Now, about how it will work …
1. Like in Season 15, six artists who fail to turn a chair during their blind audition will be selected for the Comeback Stage.
2. Like in Season 15, those six artists will be paired up for battles, with Bebe picking the artist who advances to round two.
3. Here’s where the changes begin. There will be a second Comeback Stage battle round featuring those three artists and three singers who were eliminated during the battle round on The Voice stage. Again, three winners will be chosen.
4. Those three advance to the Comeback Stage semfinals, where one singer will be eliminated.
5. The remaining two singers advance to the Comeback Stage finals, where one singer will be selected with a chance to re-enter The Voice.
6. On the April 30 episode of The Voice, the Comeback Stage winner will compete with another eliminated contestant — no word yet on how that person will be selected — for a spot in the Season 16 Top 13.
Bottom line: This year, unlike last year, there’s no guarantee one of the six original Comeback Stage participants will make it back to the live show.
Bottom line number two: The Voice gets more gimmicky every season.

“The Voice gets more gimmicky every season.”
More like, “The Voice” gets more manipulative every season.
