Hey, it might pale in comparison to the 19 Emmy nominations “Game of Thrones” received.

But The Voice has been nominated for an Emmy, a year after becoming the first reality singing show competition to win one.

The Voice is nominated for Best Reality Competition Show and is going up against The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance and Top Chef.

For the third straight year, American Idol was not nominated.

This category was added to the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2003. And to say the Amazing Race has dominated would be an understatement.

The CBS show has won every year except 2010 when Top Chef took the honor and last year, when The Voice prevailed.

American Idol was nominated every year from 2003 through 2011.

The Emmys also include a category for outstanding host for a reality show or competition.

Sorry, Ryan Seacrest. Sorry, Carson Daly.

Those nominees are Tom Bergeron of Dancing with the Stars, Anthony Bourdain of The Taste, Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn of Project Runway, Jane Lynch of Hollywood Game Night and Betty White of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.
