As I noted in my earlier blog predicting tonight’s results, the iTunes rankings from the last two days give us a good idea of who should be most nervous tonight.

Season 10 front-runner Alisan Porter and teen sensation Shalyah Fearing are pretty much sure bets to advance after being the only artists to crack the Top 20 on iTunes.

Two coach comeback artists — Nick Hagelin and Daniel Passino — might just become the first singers to turn that second chance into a spot in the finals.

And the show’s queen of social media, Mary Sarah, has reason to worry. Three singers from Team Blake — Adam Wakefield, Joe Maye and Katie Basden — finished ahead of her on iTunes.

It appears we’ll get a group performance from each team tonight before that team’s results are revealed. Team Pharrell is performing first. The six remaining singers are performing “Don’t You Worry Child” by the Swedish House Mafia.

That means the end of the road for Lacy Mandigo, Moushumi and Caity Peters, who turned four chairs in the blind auditions.

Javier Colon stops by for a visit to promote his new album. His single, “Gravity,” is very good. Jordan Smith gets to sing his new single. Personally, I would have rather her Javier. In fact, I muted Jordan. Sorry, last year’s “special” treatment of Jordan left me with a sour taste in my mouth where he’s concerned. And his album is full of covers. I’d rather The Voice celebrate someone with something original to say through music.

Now Team Blake will sing “Hey Brother.” Hey, this sounds very good. I’ll be shocked if it isn’t my favorite group performance of the night.

Special note: Mary Sarah leap-frogged two artists she finished behind on iTunes in the fan voting. And Paxton was dead last among that group on iTunes this week. Wow!

That means the elimination of Katie Basden, Joe Maye and Justin Whisnant.

Now Team Christina will sing “Stars.” This group includes Kata Hay, Ryan Quinn, Bryan Bautista, Alisan Porter, Tamar Davis and Nick Hagelin.

Wow, Christina took forever to do something very predictable. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind who she would save. That means Kata Hay, Ryan Quinn and Tamar Davis are eliminated.

Time for our fourth group performance, as Caroline Burns, Shalyah Fearing, Laith Al-Saaid, Owen Danoff, Nate Turner and Brian Nhira sing “My Song.” Funny, everyone’s sitting but Caroline, leaving the 5-foot tall teen towering over her teammates. She joked about her short stature during her pre-audition interview. Guess Team Adam wanted to make her feel tall for a change.

Caroline Burns, Brian Nhira and Nate Butler are eliminated.

And we have a final 12 on The Voice.

This could be special.

And more competitive than the past two seasons.
