Recent post-Voice music releases include holiday singles from Shilo Gold and Todd Michael Hall, a sorta holiday single from Nelly’s Echo. Plus holiday covers from Madilyn Paige and Luke Edgemon.

There’s a bit more on each of the releases below. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out Spotify snippets below.

There’s also a list of previous blogs featuring new holiday music from former contestants on The Voice.

If I’ve missed anyone, let me know and I’ll be glad to add them. I rely on my Spotify Release Radar to keep me posted on new post-Voice music, and I know I miss some.

Meanwhile, happy holidays!

* Shilo Gold from Season 14 has released a holiday original called “A Christmas Song.” She says she wrote the song in 30 minutes earlier this months and friends helped her bring it to life for release last week. Writes Shilo on Instagram: “This is a song for everyone doing the holidays a little differently this year. Remembering the ones passed, and finding ways to make this year special.“

* Todd Michael Hall from Season 18 also has a Christmas original out, “I Wish Every Day Were Christmas.” Todd writes on social media that he penned the song as a Christmas and holiday greeting to family and friends. “While the past year has brought challenges, I am still keenly aware of all the blessings in my life,” Todd writes.

* Nelly’s Echo from Season 3 has released a sorta holiday original as well. It’s called “Merry Monday,” and there’s a music video as well. Writes Nelson: “This song was written and produced with the sole intention of putting a smile in the faces and hearts of people. This year 2020 has been very difficult for most of us, so I figured I’d do my part to spread a little cheer and joy with this song.”

* Luke Edgemon from Season 4 has released a cover of “O Holy Night.” Luke was also took part in the recording of the soundtrack for “The Prom,” recently released on Netflix. Writes Luke on social media: “I’m praying that your holiday season is warm and lovely whether or not you listen to Christmas music, and whether or not you feel like there’s any kind of illumination at the end of this tunnel. This year’s been sh–, but I can see the light.”

* Madilyn Paige from Season 3 collaborated with Elton Luz for a lovely version of “Angels We Have Heard on High.” She’s also featured on covers of “Silent Night” and “The First Noel” that you can check out on The Luz Family YouTube channel. Madilyn has also announced that she’ll be releasing her first song of 2021 on Jan. 8.
