Want a sneak peek at what might happen tonight on American Idol?

Trent Harmon is winning on iTunes.

As of 7:30 p.m., his winner’s single, “Falling,” was sitting at number 14 on the iTunes singles chart.

La’Porsha Renae’s “Battles” was at number 48, followed closing by Dalton Rapattoni’s “Strike a Match” at number 60.

“Falling” is also number 7 on the site’s pop singles chart compared to “Battles” at number 16 and “Strike a Match” at number 21.

Now here’s a bit of irony.

MacKenzie Bourg is beating them all. His original song “Roses,” which he performed twice on Idol this season, was sitting at number five on iTunes as of 7:30 p.m., nine spots ahead of Trent.

And it was at number one on the singer-songwriter singles chart.

MacKenzie, of course, bowed out of the competition in fourth place last week.

Check back this evening for a live blog as American Idol bids farewell after 15 seasons.
