Two hit singles in one week for Carrie Underwood

Want more evidence of American Idol’s selling power?

Carrie Underwood hasn’t released the title track from her new album, “Blown Away,” as a single.

But after she performed the song on American Idol last week, it showed up on two charts this week on the strength of digital downloads.

“Blown Away” checked in at number 66 on Billboard’s Hot 100 single and number 22 on the digital singles chart.

Just another feather in Carrie’s cap on the same week she made chart history as her fourth album landed at number one on the Billboard 200.

Meanwhile, her true lead single off the new album, “Good Girl,” moved up one spot on the country singles chart to number seven.

And riding the coattails of “Blown Away” — and probably helped by an iTunes bargain price — two previous Carrie albums re-entered the Billboard 200 this week. Check them out below.

Other chart highlights from the past week:

* Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” moved up to number two on the adult contemporary chart, behind only Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” If it reaches number one, it will mark the seventh Billboard singles chart “Stronger” has topped.

* Mandisa’s third single off her highly successful “What If We Were Real” album has cracked the top 25 on the Christian singles chart. The tune is called “Good Morning” and features a rap segment by TobyMac.
