Viktor Kiraly turned four chairs during his blind audition on The Voice.

Cassandra Robertson, his Team Adam battle round opponent, turned just one.

But Viktor says he wasn’t taking anything for granted when the two squared off.

“I passed blind auditions with four chairs, which was absolutely amazing,” said Viktor, 31, of Budapest, Hungary. “But then I quickly try to forget that fact so it doesn’t bother me in the future.

“I try to go back to zero and try to work myself up again. And that’s exactly what I did when I started battle rehearsals with Cassandra.”

Adam asked Cassandra and Viktor to sing “Nobody Knows.” Their cover of the song wound up being one of the evening’s vocal highlights. It’s also one of three songs from Monday’s show to crack the iTunes’ Top 200 singles chart.

“I think battle rounds was the first time I heard Cassandra really sing,” said Viktor, who has enjoyed pop music success overseas and has a massive social media following. “And I got a little bit scared, I have to be honest, because she is absolutely amazing — a super talented singer.”

When the singing ended, both contestant drew high praise. Blake Shelton called it one of the best vocal performances of the battles. Adam Levine complimented both singers for their vocal prowess and their ability to connect with the crowd and each other.

But Adam named Viktor the winner. Cassandra was eliminated when she was not stolen.
