Former The Voice finalist Koryn Hawthorne is up for two Dove Awards.

Former The Voice finalist Koryn Hawthorne is up for two Dove Awards.

Koryn Hawthorne finished fourth on Season 8 of The Voice.

Her debut single for RCA Inspiration hit number one on the Billboard gospel charts.

Her debut album did the same.

Now she can add Dove Award nominee to her impressive list of accomplishment.

In fact, the 20-year-old will be up for two honors at the 2018 Dove Awards, which celebrate the best in the past year in Christian and gospel music.

Koryn is nominated for Best New Artist alongside Cory Asbury, Mosaic MSC, Pat Barrett and Tauren Wells.

Her hit single “Won’t He Do It” is up for Best Contemporary Gospel song of the year along with “I Got That” by Anthony Brown & group therAPy, “A Great Work” by Brian Courtney Wilson, “Not Lucky, I’m Loved” by Jonathan McReynolds, and “You” by Snoop Dogg.

Speaking of “Won’t He Do It,” the song is number one on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs and Gospel Airplay charts again this week.

That marks 23 weeks atop the Hot Gospel Songs chart and 15 weeks atop the Gospel Airplay chart for Koryn.

The Dove Awards will be presented during an Oct. 16 show in Nashville. That show will air on the Trinity Broadcasting Network on Oct. 21.
