Voice standout Sarah Potenza prepares to release her new album

little over a year ago, Sarah Potenza launched a Kickstarter campaign to help finance “the record I came to Nashville to write.”

She set a goal of $25,000; she raised more than $41,000.

Now the new album from the Season 8 standout on The Voice is nearly here.

Sarah will release the full-length album “Monster” on Friday; pre-orders are available on iTunes.

Want a physical copy? You can head to Sarah’s website to order those.

Two tracks are already out on iTunes, including the impressive lead single “The Mountain,” which you can listen to above, and a cover of Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.”

Sarah was 34 when she auditioned for The Voice and enticed all four coaches to turn around for her cover of “Stay With Me.”

She joined Team Blake Shelton and made it to the Top 20 before being eliminated.

Before deciding to go solo and heading to Nashville in 2012, she released three albums with the country blues band Sarah and the Tall Boys. Those came out between 2008 and 2011.
