TMZ is reporting that The X Factor’s manufactured female group named The Lylas might need a new name before the live shows begin Thursday, Nov. 1.
Seems Bruno Mars’ sisters got the name — short for Love You Like a Sister — first.
Those Lylas signed a recording and modeling contract earlier this year. You can learn more about them here.
And earlier this week, they sent out the following tweet from @THELYLAS: “Just in case you guys missed the news. The name “LYLAS” has been hijacked!”
As a result, TMZ is reporting that X Factor’s Lylas — Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello and Normani Kordei — are brainstorming for new names.
If so, they’ve made no indication of it on their Twitter account (weareLYLAS), instead sending out messages about how blessed they feel to have survived the judge’s mansion.
Well, they earned a spot in the live show. Their group performance was remarkable considering the short time they’ve been together.
Meanwhile, FOX finally got around to posting the official portraits of the maybe soon to be called something else Lylas. I embedded one above. Here’s the other.
