Colton Dixon never wavered in his long-term goal after American Idol. Regardless of how well he did on the show, he intended to follow up with a contemporary Christian album.

Concert News, New Idol Music, Phillip Phillips Phillip Phillips plans concert to help Sandy victims
With a debut album release just around the corner, Phillip Phillips will present a 20-minute online concert later this week to help Hurricane Sandy victims. The show is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at Stageit. When I checked at about 11:30 a.m. Monday (Nov. 12), about 4,800 tickets remained for the show.

“Don’t Rush,” the duet Kelly Clarkson unveiled at the CMA Awards with Vince Gill, debuted on the Billboard music charts this week. The song debuted at number 97 on the Hot 100, 25 on the country chart and number 35 on the digital download chart.
