Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj performed, Nicki won an award and Jordin Sparks was among those in the audience at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Nicki took the female hip-hop artist of the year award, beating out Azealia Banks, Eve, Rasheeda and Rye Rye.
