Danielle Bradbery: Expect new music at her York Fair show
Danielle Bradbery proved me wrong. I figured teenagers should avoid The Voice. Each season is stocked with so much veteran talent, they just didn’t stand a chance.

Next week will bring an unexpected musical treat — a debut album from Kendall Beard. Now, unless you’re a die-hard fan of American Idol, you’re probably thinking “Kendall Who?”
Yep, The X Factor still sucks. I figured I’d give the show a chance Wednesday night when the Season 3 premiere aired.
Gotta say, I’m a little baffled by one of the nominations for the 2013 County Music Awards. Somehow, the original Idol, Kelly Clarkson, made the list of nominees for female vocalist of the year.
Faced with unexpected airtime to fill, sportscasters will ramble on and on about the silliest things. That’s what I was thinking last Thursday night when the start of the 2013 NFL season opener between the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens was delayed 33 minutes by storms in the area.
Kristy Lee Cook may not have waltzed away with the crown during the ultra-talented seventh season of American Idol. But she won over plenty of new fans Monday night during her performance on the WGTY Great Country Radio Stage at the York Fair.
You might say Lauren Alaina has become a familiar face at the York Fairgrounds. She headlined the Jingle Bell Jam there in December of 2011, returned to York for an autograph session at the York Revolution Fanfest the next spring, then performed on the WGTY Great Country Radio Stage last September.
David Cook fans will be thrilled to know the Season 7 winner of American Idol is returning to the area in October. And I know there are lots of David Cook fans out there based on the turnout for his past shows in York, including one sold-out and one nearly sold-out concert at the Pullo…
Five months after the single was released, Scotty McCreery has debuted the video for “See You Tonight.” The song is the title track off the sophomore album from the Season 11 Idol winner.
Elise Testone is preparing to release her first post-Idol single, according to a Tweet she sent out Friday. The song is called “I Will Not Break,” and it will apparently hit iTunes on Sept. 17. Update: After a bit of a delay, the song hit iTunes late this week, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
Luck of the Draw
Laci Kaye Booth, Top 5 on American Idol Season 17, recently dropped a new single. And if you somehow missed her 2024 album, "Loneliest Girl in the World," do yourself a favor and check it out!
