Looking for new songs to download from American Idol’s Top 3? You won’t find them on iTunes. I’m assuming those trips home prevented the Idols from having time to prepare studio versions of the new songs they performed on Wednesday’s show.

Hey, that was a pretty classy 500th episode of American Idol, right? The flashback clips at the opening brought back lots of fond memories, from horrible auditions to triumphant moments. And those well wishes from past Idol winners at each commercial break were a really nice touch.

The Top 3 on American Idol took the stage Wednesday night, fighting for a spot in next week’s finals. They performed one song picked by mentor Randy Jackson, one picked by the judges and one selected by fans back home.
