The 2Steel Girls from Season 3 of The Voice are planning a new album.
And they’re looking for help financing it via a Kickstarter campaign you can learn about here.
That campaign has a goal of $22,000 and had raised $6,000 as of Monday morning. The drive continues until July 21.
2Steel Girls is the mother-daughter team of Allison Steel and Krystal Steel, who were 44 and 23, respectively when they tried out for The Voice. They were performing just their fifth show as a duo when they auditioned for The Voice with Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” and landed a spot on Team Blake.
They wound up being eliminated in the battle round by another country singer, Gracia Harrison.
After the show, they released a six-track EP called “Train Wreck” in August 2013.
The new album, with a released targeted for October, will be produced by songwriter Trey Bruce, who has produced albums for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Trace Adkins.
Kickstarter campaign rewards include a 30-minute acoustic Skype concert for a contribution of $250.
Haven’t heard any of the 2Steel Girls originals? The gals have that covered as well, offering a free download of their previous EP from their website.
