On a week when former Idol contestants don’t have a single song on Billboard’s Hot 100, judge Jennifer Lopez provides a chart highlight.
Her new album “Love?” debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and her single “Dance on the Floor” is number three on the Hot 100.
The only tunes in front of it: Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” at number one and Katy Perry’s “ET” at number two.
Jennifer’s single is also number four on the digital download chart, and a second single off J-Lo’s album, “I’m Into You,” debuted at numberr 72 on the Hot 100.
As an aside, this week’s Billboard 200 also features a blast from the past. The new album from 62-year-old Stevie Nicks, “In Your Dreams,” is right behind J-Lo at number six on the Billboard 200; Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours is number 11.
Other Idol highlights:
* Mandisa’s single, “Stronger,” moves up to number two on the Christian singles chart. The Casting Crowns are at number one with “Glorious Day.”
* “Where You At,” Jennifer Hudson’s first single off her new album, moves up to number three on the dance/club play chart. Between her and number one, Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” at number one and Britney Spears’ “Till the World Ends” at number two.
