Apparently, actress Nikki Reed of Twilight fame showed up on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night sporting a sparking engagement ring.
And since she was in the company of American Idol finalist Paul McDonald, that’s led to lots of reports that the two of them are engaged.
Paul confirmed the two were dating back on April 15, in his conference call interview with the media after being eliminated and finishing eighth on Idol. They met at the premiere of “Little Red Riding Hood.”
“It’s officially true,” he said at the time of the rumors that they were a couple. “She’s super cool. Super smart.”
As for the engagement rumors, neither has addressed those so far, though Nikki addressed another rumor just last week via Twitter.
“Many of you are asking me if I am pregnant. No, I am not pregnant. I hope this rumor is cleared now.”
Today, she was thanking fans for their support. After all, Twilight did pretty well at the awards show.
As for Paul, he was preparing for “a long day of work,” he said via Twitter. “Trying to memorize some of these cover tunes for the Idol tour.”
