His audition: Alex Brown, 26, of New Hope, Alabama, performed “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” by Al Green. Alex has a unique sound. And his impressive range prompted chair turns from Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg, the only coaches with spots left on their team. Snoop called his performance sultry and slick. He called him a great musician. Niall loved his “crazy” audition and said he has a voice that’s needed on the show. Alex joined Team Niall, completing his team.

Here’s more about A.M.:

* He goes by A.M. Brown or Farmer Brown on social media. A.M. is short for Alex Mitchell and he’s an R&B, pop and soul artist based in Nashville.

* He’s released two singles to date, a song called “High ” in 2019 and a single called “Blue” in 2020. You can check out the video for “Blue” below.

* In his Spotify bio, Alex says his musical journey started with a high school band in Alabama.

* Judging from Instagram, he was previously a member of a four-guy band called Blue City.

* Alex writes that he’s now heavily inspired by the pop, soul and R&B sounds of the 1970s and 1980s.

* He says his goal is to craft “groovy, soulful compositions with a modern sonic flair … to bring soul and life” and “good vibes” to those who hear his music.
