*** Bo working on new album ***
Bo Bice stopped by Tennessee Mornings at FOX17 in Nashville Tuesday morning to perform “Everything,” a song he hopes appears on his fourth studio album.
Yes, Bo is working on a new album. And FOX17 reports that it will mark his first full-fledged country album.
That shouldn’t surprise Bo follows. The southern rocker from Idol Season 4 released his last studio album — simply titled “3” — in May 2010, and it included more country-flavored tunes than either of his previous albums.
It also marked the best work yet from a singer who remains one of the most underappreciated Idol finalists.
Bo also released a live album, “I Love the Road,” in November. The album is supposed to be in stores now. If you can’t find it, here’s a link to all sorts of download packages from Bo’s website.
And you can go here to listen to him performing “Everything.”
*** Ashthon performs, too ***
And since it’s Idol week on Tennessee Mornings, Ashthon Jones was also on hand to perform.
She was supposed to perform “Lookout,” the first single off her new album. If that’s what she performed, “Shake Til the House Close Down” would have been a more appropriate title.
You can head here to watch Ashthon’s performance.
She plans to release a single in February, followed by an album titled “Goodbye Genre” later this year.
Ashthon was the first finalist eliminated on Idol Season 10.
*** Daughtry on tour ***
Daughtry is heading out on tour, and the second stop will be in Reading, Pa.
Chris and the guys announced about 25 tour dates yesterday, running from March 20 in Buffalo, N.Y., to April 30 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
The night after the tour opener, Daughtry will perform at the Reading Eagle Theater at the Sovereign Center.
The tour also includes an April 3 stop at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh.
Tickets for some tour dates will go on sale as soon as Friday. And $1 from each ticket will go to Malaria No More.
Says Chris in the press release announcing the tour: “We recorded a hard-hitting rock album that is primed to blow the doors off these great theaters. Fans who come out are going to get an incredible show every night.”
The complete list of tour dates appears here.
