Angie Zeiderman, Season 11

Meet Hollywood bound Angie Zeiderman

She showed up at the Aspen auditions declaring her admiration for Lady Gaga and explaining that she, too, likes to “make everything a performance.”

Of course, that became clear from her performance of “If You’ve Got It, Flaunt It,” complete with a couple of risque dance moves.

If you thought it was all a gimmick for the Idol cameras, think again.

On Twitter, 25-year-old Angie Zeiderman calls herself  a “singer, dancer, mess maker and glitter monster.”

Follow the link to her website, and you’ll discover that she’s the lead singer for a punk-disco band called Bunny Button and is also recording songs written by someone named Andre Ramos (you can see one below).

Oh, she also works as a deejay and is part of “Miami’s top burlesque troupe,” Shameless Burlesque, according to that website.

In other words, when Steven Tyler called her “a little spitfire,” it was probably an accurate assessment.

On the other hand, the young woman from Delray Beach, Fla., proved it wasn’t entirely a matter of style over substance when she turned in a very nice rendition of “Blue Bayou” that won over Randy Jackson.

The “Blue Bayou” performance makes more sense after listening to her golden ticket interview.  Angie says she has performed a lot of older music with her dad’s band, but also enjoys more “eclectic stuff.”

“I’m something American Idol hasn’t seen before,” she adds during that interview. “I bring a certain sparkle, pizzazz and glamor that American Idol hasn’t seen.”

Now, the promised song …
