Gotta admit, I’m a little late delivering this news.
I’m blaming technological glitches. Believe me, there have been technological glitches aplenty in the past week.
Anyway, Daughtry has announced a spring tour.
And the very first date is the one closest to our area Thursday, March 18, at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore.
Chris Daughtry and the guys will also be playing Penn State on Wednesday, March 31.
Tickets for the Baltimore show went on sale over the weekend. Tickets range in price from $30.50 to $40.50 and you can go here for information.
I haven’t seen any information about ticket sales for the Penn State gig, so that might be one of the shows where tickets go on sale this Saturday or next.
All told, about 50 shows are planned between the gig in Baltimore and the tour-closer in Rochester, N.Y., on June 19. You can go here for the complete list.
Daughtry is currently touring Europe with Nickelback and enjoying the success of the band’s second album.
“Leave This Town” — picked as the second best Idol-related album of 2009 by yours truly — debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and is still at number 53 — weeks after its release.
“Life After You,” the second single from the album, is number 48 on the Hot 100.
