Wow, that was fast.
RCA Nashville has announced that the self-titled debut album from Tate Stevens will be released April 23.
That’s just four months after his victory on Season 2 of The X Factor.
Even on Idol there’s usually a six-month gap between victory and debut album.
Of course, the Idols are typically touring for part of that time.
According to the RCA release — you can read it here — the album will include three songs Tate co-wrote.
Tate is quoted as saying: “For someone that has dreamt of recording and releasing music for over a decade, to say I’m excited is an understatement. I feel like the songs we selected for the album are a real reflection of my personality—they range from fun-loving to serious and everything in between.”
Pre-orders for the album are already being taken on Amazon.com.
The lead single from the album, “Power of a Long Song,” was released in mid-February.
If you haven’t heard that song, here it is.
