Who goes home tonight on The Voice?
Well, you can’t be feeling too comfortable right now if your name is Vedo.
Not only was he forced to open last night’s two-hour show, his performance of “Rock With You” was the only one of the 12 from last night that did not land in the Top 200 singles when voting closed at 10 a.m. this morning.
In fact, the lowest any other performance fell was Kris Thomas with “I’ll Be There” at number 116.
And right above that was Garrett Gardner with “I Want It That Way” at number 103.
For a look at where all the artists from The Voice landed on the chart, head here. And for a photo gallery from last night’s show, head here.
Meanwhile, should Vedo and Kris or Garrett head home, that would leave the Voice with a final 10 consisting of seven ladies, just two male soloists and a male duet.
Sorta sounds like the imbalance we’ve seen on Season 12 of American Idol.
Meanwhile, the surprise from last night came from the guy at the right, Josiah Hawley. His performance of “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” was the third most popular in terms of iTunes downloads.
Hey, that was a great confessional bit from the singers on The Voice, from Judith Hill once having to sing about farts to Zach Swon’s ability to twist his face into the Scream mask.
The results start coming in …
Safe tonight is …
* Kris Thomas (Team Shakira): An interesting first save seeing as how he was near the bottom in iTunes downloads.
* The Swon Brothers (Team Blake): Not surprised. That cover of the George Jones song went over very well last night.
* Sarah Simmons (Team Adam): On a team of powerhouse singers, her performance did the best on iTunes.
* Josiah Hawley (Team Usher): As noted earlier, the reception to his performance was perhaps the most surprising from Monday.
* Judith Hill (Team Adam): That was a no-brainer. Because that was a heck of a performance last night.
* Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake): Another no-brainer. Adam went so far as to call this teen the favorite in Season 4.
* Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher): Her performance last night wasn’t as well received as “True Colors,” but very nice to see her advance.
* Amber Carrington (Team Adam): She closed last night’s show strong, continuing a string of very good performances.
That means we’re down to a final four of Holly Tucker, Sasha Allen, Vedo and Garrett Gardner.
Also safe:
* Holly Tucker (Team Blake): Good choice, America. She sparkled again tonight during the Team Blake group performance.
* Sasha Allen (Team Shakira): Wow, no way she could have been eliminated, right?
That means Vedo (Team Usher) and Garrett Gardner (Team Shakira) are heading home, two of the three I said would likely be in danger at the start of the show.
