The American Idol summer tour kicks off tomorrow night at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Wash.

And, should you be inclined to hop a plane and cross the country before then, you can still snag a prime floor seat for the show.

That’s probably not great news for Idol, which already axed about a quarter of the planned tour dates.

But for the sake of five very talented ladies who did their best to salvage American Idol Season 12, I’m hoping interest in the tour grows as Top 10 plus one (Aubrey Cleland) criss-cross the country. For all the dates and links to ticket information, head here.

A hint at what you’ll see …

Candice Glover told Yahoo! Music to expect something epic, sorta an alter ego like Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce. In addition to “I Am Beautiful,” she’ll sing another song from the album that she calls “a perfect summer song.”

Janelle Arthur told Yahoo! Music that she’ll be “keeping it country” during her time to shine as a soloist on stage. But she’ll also sing lots of non-country tunes during the group numbers. No problem, Janelle says. She’s been performing in shows where non-country songs were called for since she was very young.

And Angie Miller will be performing a pair of originals she wrote during the tour, which might be an Idol summer tour first. Most folks are familiar with “You See Me Free,” the song she performed during Hollywood Week, then released as a single when the show ended. Wednesday, she released a teaser clip for the other original she’ll be performing, a tune called “Put It On Me.”

Oh, and Candice says the Idols have been working hard, rehearsing eight to nine hours a day to make sure fans get their money’s worth.

Remember, the Idols land in nearby Reading on Aug. 24. And floor seating is still available.

Now, here’s the snippet of that new original from Angie Miller.
