Blake Shelton won four awards, and Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCreery snagged one each during the American Country Awards on FOX Tuesday night.
Blake, who was otherwise occupied coaching on The Voice, took album of the year honors for “Based on a True Story.”
His other wins were all for the song “Sure Be Cool If You Did.” Blake won male single of the year, music video of the year and male music video of the year with that song.
Scotty McCreery, the Season 10 winner of Idol who just released his second album, was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
And Carrie Underwood won for female video of the year for the song “Blown Away.”
Other singing show nominees include Kelly Clarkson, Kellie Pickler, Casey James and Cassadee Pope.
Carrie and Kelly, both former Idol winners, were going head to head for female artist of the year honors; the award went to Miranda Lambert.
Artist of the Year honors went to Luke Bryan. Also nominated in that category were Blake, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift.
