This is an Idol first: A singer prominently featured on The X Factor winds up on FOX’s other singing show.

Jillian Jensen was among the singers we were introduced to on Wednesday’s premiere episode of American Idol Season 13.

Though it was certainly a short introduction — she was part of a montage package with three other singers — she might have looked and sounded familiar, and for good reason.

Jillian, a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Boston, made it to the judges’ house on the second season of The X Factor before being cut from the girls’ team by Demi Lovato in favor of CeCe Frey.

During her audition, Jillian told how she had been badly bullied and broke down in tears over the wonderful reception of her audition song, “Who You Are.”

The X Factor experience didn’t exactly stop Jillian dead in her tracks. She’s released four singles to iTunes in the past two years, including 2013’s “Boys Suck” and “I am Whole.”

According to her Facebook bio, Jillian has also released two albums of original songs and written more than 100 in a variety of genres.

Oh, and she’s also traveled the country with her anti-bullying message.
